Meet the Physicians of Columbus East!
Lora J. Brown, MD, grew up in Mentor, Ohio. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Ohio State University in 1986. She received her medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1990. Dr. Brown completed her internship at University Hospitals in Cleveland and her Internal Medicine residency at Ohio State University Hospitals in 1993. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Brown has been in private practice for 17 years. She helped co-found Columbus East Internal Medicine with her partner, Dr. Lisa Braverman, in 1998. Dr. Brown is on staff at both Grant and Mount Carmel East hospitals.
Dr. Brown's practice encompasses general medicine with a special interest in preventive health care.
Dr. Brown is married and has 3 children. In her spare time she enjoys running, interior decorating and watching kids' sporting events.
Lisa J. Braverman was born in Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Braverman attended University of Michigan, 1981-1985 where she received her Bachelor of Science. She then attended Ohio State University and received her Medical Degree in 1989. She completed her internship with Riverside Methodist Hospital from 1989-1992. Dr. Braverman has participated in committees such as Tissue and Organ committee, Task Force Advisory Committee, and Policy and Procedure Committee. Dr. Braverman completed her National Boards in 1992 and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She helped co-found Columbus East Internal Medicine, along with her partner, Dr. Lora Brown. Dr. Braverman has been practicing Internal medicine for 18 years.
Dr. Braverman enjoys travel, reading and playing piano.
